Edward Diamond, MD is the president and founder of Suburban Lung Associates, a private practice with 35 providers serving Chicago’s western suburbs. He has practiced pulmonary medicine for 30 years. He is the medical director of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Dr. Diamond is an active board member of The American College of Chest Physicians. He lectures nationally and publishes articles in professional journals. Dr. Diamond is an expert in coding and reimbursement, especially related to diagnostic testing. He is a former CHEST advisor to the RUC (Relative Value Unit utilization committee) which is part of the process by which Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) establishes the billing codes and Medicare reimbursements. He lectures and publishes on this topic. He authored the chapter on Pulmonary Function and Exercise Testing in the book, Appropriate Coding for Critical Care Services and Pulmonary Medicine, published by The American College of Chet Physicians.
